One of my favorite reality shows follows a group who works at a restaurant, and on the show they always talk about how amazing the goat cheese balls are, so I wanted to have my own little recipe to make at home.
Ingredients
2 cups of mini pretzels
2 large eggs
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
8 ounces of goat cheese
Olive oil for frying
Directions
Grind pretzels in a food processor.
Place pretzels, eggs and flour in separate bowls.
In the egg bowl, whisk together with 2 tbs of water.
Cut goat cheese into 8 different logs.
Grab one slice and dredge in the flour, shaking off excess.
Dip in egg wash and then coat in pretzels.
In a skillet, heat 1/2 inch of olive oil over medium heat.
Fry slices for 45 seconds a side, until golden brown. Only 4 at a time.
Remove and let them drain on towel.
